In June 2022, Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasily Bodnar announced that the owner of the Turkish company Baykar created a Ukrainian company that had already acquired a land plot in Ukraine for the construction of a plant for the production of Bayraktar drones.
In August 2022, Baykar announced that it plans to build a supersonic UAV in Ukraine.
