Germany has officially confirmed the delivery of the second Iris-T SLM anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine. This was reported in new data on the website of the German federal government on Sunday, April 30.

In addition to this air defense installation, Germany transferred eight more powerful Zetros trucks under the Mercedes-Benz brand, designed for operation in extreme off-road conditions, for the needs of Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the Ukrainian military has already received 84 units of such vehicles.

Germany also delivered two 8×6 trucks with eight distribution containers to Ukraine.

Earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed that Ukraine received a second IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile system from Germany.

The IRIS-T complex is the most advanced air defense system made in Germany. Even the Bundeswehr itself doesn’t have it yet, and Ukraine received the first such installation last year. APU claims that IRIS-T is 100% effective.
