The inhabitants of Russia failed to conquer the “road of life” from Chasovoy Yar to Bakhmut, despite their claims. This is what the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty said in an interview with ZN.UA.
According to him, the statements of the Russians about complete control of the road are false.
“Yes, it is really difficult there, because their attempts to occupy the road continue, as well as attempts to establish fire control. But thanks to the military special operations forces, artillery, the Defense does not allow The Russian forces “cut off” our logistics,” he said.
Cherevaty noted that the “long way of life” is ammunition, medicines, food are still given, and the wounded are also taken out of the city with it.
According to Cherevaty, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are safely holding Bakhmut and are ready for all possible scenarios.
The representative of the Eastern Group of Forces emphasized that the main task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut is to knock out the enemy’s combat potential, personnel and equipment, and in principle this is possible.
Recall that the founder of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that his mercenaries could leave Bakhmut.
