Poland immediately broke the agreement with Russia on gas supplies, signed in 1993. It will expire at the end of 2022. This was reported by Ria Novosti.

“In our country, we are best prepared for this gas crisis in Europe,” Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin said on local television.
According to Sasin, Poland’s gas storage facilities are 84% full, while the European average is currently around 30%.
Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister added that “Russia’s gas shortage is covered by imports from other directions.” So, on May 1, a gas delivery link was opened in Lithuania, including the port of Klaipeda, where Poland has 2 billion cubic meters of gas per year at its disposal.
Recall that the Polish authorities have decided not to buy natural gas from Russia.
It was also reported that gas reserves at UGS facilities in Europe exceeded 40%.
