American television personality Jerry Springerknown for his scandalous programs laced with profanity, vulgarity and bickering, has died at the age of 79, several US media outlets reported on Thursday.
Springer, a lawyer who also worked in politics, died peacefully in Chicago after a “short illness,” according to news site TMZ, citing a family spokesman.
