In addition, the government prohibited certain other symbols or inscriptions from being used on license plates.
Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has banned individual license plates that mention the Nazi or communist regimes, as well as those containing symbols related to Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine. Innovations concern, in particular, the letters “Z” and “V”. This was reported by the Ministry of the Interior.
So, on today’s license plates the letters “Z” and “V” cannot be separated, as well as words written in Cyrillic, instead of “C”, “C”, “B”, ” F”.
In addition, license plates in Ukraine cannot have many other symbols or inscriptions:
-
emblems of Russian bodies and armies;
-
full or abbreviated name of the state authority of Ukraine;
-
state symbols of Ukraine and other countries or international organizations;
-
blasphemous or discriminatory linguistic, national, religious and racial inscriptions.
It will be remembered that in Germany, a man was ordered to donate to the Ukrainians for wearing a Zt-shirt. According to the court’s decision, a local resident of Russian origin will be required to transfer 1,500 euros to an organization that helps Ukrainians affected by the war.
