This is reported by Moldpres.
Chisinau raised the issue of illegal checkpoints of Russian-controlled “Transnistrian” security forces and the need to withdraw them from the so-called security zone located along the entire administrative border between the right and left banks of the Dniester. Security forces at these checkpoints unreasonably stop cars, including diplomatic ones.
Chisinau also noted the violation of the Security Zone regime by the Russian military contingent in February-April 2023. It was about the uncoordinated “movement of armored military equipment outside the location of the posts of the United Peacekeeping Forces.”
The Russian military contingent in the so-called Transnistria was created from the remnants of the former 14th Russian Army, which was stationed on this territory in the early 1990s and actively participated in the conflict. In total, we are talking about 1 thousand 500 – 1 thousand 700 Russian military personnel. Chisinau considers their presence on its territory illegal.
