The Security Service of Ukraine identified the battalion commander of the Russian Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Eldarov Ayuba, who gave the order to poison Ukrainians in the “gas chambers”. He formed punitive detachments that brought civilians from the temporarily occupied settlements of Zaporozhye to dungeons. Eldarov ordered that Ukrainian patriots be persecuted, beaten, tortured with electric current, poisoned with chemicals, strangled in gas chambers.

The SBU established that the Eldarov personally participated in the torture, and made public the interception of the conversations of the Russian criminal.
The fact of the use of asphyxiating gases by the enemy in specially equipped cells, where Ukrainian prisoners were kept, has been documented. Also, the Eldar “covered” the murders of kidnapped citizens by their subordinates.
The SBU received testimonies from three local residents who went through the Russian dungeon and managed to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine. Among them is a resident of the village, who was kidnapped by the invaders at a checkpoint and tortured because of his subscription to the Ukrainian Telegram channel. Another illegal prisoner was a man whom the captors accused of directing fire for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Another victim is a local resident who supported Ukrainian defenders in his statements.
