Border guards of the Yablonovka department of the Mukachevo detachment in Transcarpathia detained the men trying to bypass the control post. This was announced on Thursday, April 20, by the State Border Service.
The cars in which the attackers were moving were stopped by border guards outside the village of Steblevka. Detainees are citizens of Ukraine liable for military service.
Five of the men, with the help of three smugglers with them, intended to enter Romania illegally, the report said.
