The Russian military, in particular, tried to identify Ukrainian air defense systems.
The Russian Shahed drone attack on Odessa on the night of April 19 was aimed at finding and destroying Ukrainian air defense systems. Suspilny was told about this by the spokesperson of the Operational Command of the South of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Natalya Gumenyuk.
He noted that the Russians attacked kamikaze drones from the Sea of Azov.
“They are covering themselves with the strange region, the strange scenery, to be as invisible as possible. They are still trying to deceive our air defense and trying to find it. That is why we suspect that there is such a group attack to stimulate the work of air defense,” Gumenyuk said.
According to the OK Yug spokesperson, Russian troops are increasing stocks of kamikaze drones to save missiles.
Recall that at night the Russian Federation launched an attack with the Shahed-136 strike of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Odessa region. Air defense forces destroyed 10 of the 12 kamikaze drones.
