The right to report information about the death is granted only to the Territorial centers of recruitment and social support.
Relatives should not learn about the death of a serviceman from the Internet: the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a procedure for notifying relatives about the death of a serviceman. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Anna Malyar.
“The Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC SP) is granted the right to report this information. Not commanders, not twins, not official pages of brigades, etc. TCC SP employees are experienced and special trained in such communications. If the body is not found, then the family is reported that the soldier is missing under certain circumstances. The said soldier will be registered with the status of “missing. But when the body is found and identified, the death is reported,” Malyar stressed.
The deputy minister noted that “seeing” death and identifying the body of the deceased are not the same.
“We already have a case when witnesses saw the death, but the body was not found. Later, the serviceman became alive. Therefore, a request to everyone! In public communications about the death, out of respect for the relatives , follow simple rules:
– report to the public after the TCC SP informs the next of kin about the death or disappearance;
– correctly report the status – “dead” or “missing”, wrote Malyar.
It was previously reported that GUR knew the name of the Russian military who beheaded the Ukrainian prisoner.
Dozens of videos of the execution of prisoners were received – Ombudsman
