The neighboring country has stepped in to help Ukraine in the darkest times since its independence.
Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Ukraine on a visit. This was announced on Sunday, May 22, by the website of the Polish President.
On Sunday, the leader of Poland will address the Verkhovna Rada in front of Ukrainian parliamentarians.
“President Andrzej Duda is in Ukraine. On Sunday, at the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv, the President of the Republic of Poland will deliver a message as the first head of a foreign state since the beginning of the war,” the message said.
Earlier, the Polish leader said that the war waged by Russia against Ukraine should end with the return of all occupied territory to Kyiv. He called it a very important issue for himself, for Poland’s security and for the future.
Duda also considers a Russian attack on any NATO country unlikely.
