Costs for the financial maintenance of military personnel decreased in March compared to January and February.
According to the results of March, 67.3 billion hryvnias were allocated from the general fund of the state budget for the maintenance of military personnel. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, April 18.
At the same time, the total amount of cash expenses for January-March 2023 is UAH 636.3 billion. In March, costs reached UAH 225.2 billion.
In the structure of expenses, UAH 276.4 billion (in March – UAH 87.4 billion) was the most spent on compensation with accruals. In particular, 216 billion hryvnias were allocated for the maintenance of military personnel (in March – 67.3 billion hryvnias).
According to RBC-Ukraine, the cost of monetary maintenance of military personnel in March decreased compared to January, when 71.8 billion hryvnias were spent for these purposes and in February (76.9 billion hryvnias).
According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2022, UAH 721.9 billion is allocated for the financial maintenance of military personnel (UAH 99 billion in December).
Recall that after the start of the war in Ukraine, an additional monetary reward in the amount of 30,000 Hryvnias was paid to military personnel not participating in the hostilities. But from February 1, 2023, monthly payments have been cancelled.
Earlier in April, the Verkhovna Rada returned 30,000 hryvnias to the military, and at the same time to the police and employees of the State Emergency Service. But the next day it became known that the Rada had blocked the military allowance law.
