Slovakia has completed the transfer of its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. All 13 aircraft are already on Ukrainian territory. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia on Monday, April 17.
According to the head of the military department, Yaroslav Nagy, Ukraine received nine more aircraft.
“This transfer was made by land, taking into account the greatest possible security, again a big thank you to all the parts involved, because in such cases it is a really important and complex logistical operation,” said Great.
He emphasized that the MiG-29 represents a significant support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian military aggression and in the protection of human life.
“Besides, unlike our neighbor, these planes are not suitable for us. We are doing the right thing,” added the minister.
It will be recalled that on March 23, Slovakia announced that it had given four MiG-29s to Ukraine. Later it became known that Slovak planes were protecting the skies over Kharkov.
It is also known that Ukraine receives MiG-29 from Poland. Warsaw promised to transfer all aircraft of this type for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
