The Minister of Agriculture of Bulgaria noted that on April 18, consultations on this issue will be held with President Rumen Radev.
Bulgarian authorities are discussing the introduction of a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain after Poland and Hungary. This was said by the Minister of Agriculture of Bulgaria Yavor Gechev, BNR reports.
“Bulgaria’s interests must also be protected, especially since, when two other states have already introduced such a restriction, there is a serious risk of the accumulation of large quantities in our country if we do not take appropriate measures ,” he said.
According to the minister, the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain has already been discussed with the ministers of agriculture of six European countries.
Gechev noted that consultations on this issue will be held with President Rumen Radev on April 18.
Recall that the European Commission considers the unilateral trade decisions of Poland and Hungary, which banned the import of Ukrainian grain and other agricultural products, unacceptable.
