In Mexico, gunmen killed seven people in a pool

Mexican army and security forces were sent to find the gunmen. Authorities are looking into their motive.

In Mexico, unidentified assailants killed seven people in a public swimming pool. Among the dead was a child under the age of seven, according to CNN on Sunday, April 16.

According to an eyewitness, gunmen arrived at a swimming pool in the Mexican city of Cortazar, Guanajuato state, and opened fire around 4:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, after which they damaged a store, security camera and a monitor.

Another person was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

Mexican army and security forces were sent to find the gunmen. So far, none of the criminals have been arrested, and authorities are looking into their motives.

It was previously reported that 68 bags of human remains were found in Mexico. Jailed members of one of the gangs operating in the state of Mexico told authorities about the secret graves.
