Astria aims to support Ukraine in all possible ways on its way to membership in the European Union. This was announced on Friday, April 14, by Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen at a press conference after a meeting with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda
The President of Austria discussed with the leader of Poland a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and joint measures to support Ukraine.
“We also welcome the desire of Ukraine and Moldova to join the EU. This is encouraging, and it is good for all of us. We will support these two countries on their way to the EU in all possible ways,” said Van der Bellen.
The politician added that the members of the European Union should continue to stand united on the side of independent Ukraine.
If a referendum on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union takes place, 79% of all respondents, or 92% of those who will participate in such a referendum, will vote for joining this organization.
Ukraine will work with Romania and Moldova towards full membership in the European Union.
