German arms concern Rheinmetall has been subjected to a cyberattack

According to media reports, the Dax Rheinmetall group fell victim to hackers. Several Rheinmetall subsidiaries around the world were reportedly affected by the attack, including Kolbenschmidt, where various systems failed on Friday.

A spokesman for the German Cyber ​​​​Crime Central and Contact Center (ZAC) confirmed that an investigation into the cyber attacks on Rheinmetall was launched on Friday.

The extent of the damage caused is still unknown.

It is not yet known who is behind the attack and what is its purpose.

Earlier, there was a cyber attack on the state resources of Ukraine, including unified and state registries, websites of the Ministry of Justice.

Cybercriminals attacked Ukrainian organizations and institutions using the Remote Utilities program. Hackers sent emails ostensibly on behalf of the National Security and Defense Council to gain remote access to computers.
