Poland ranks third after the US and the UK in terms of military aid to Ukraine.
Poland will gradually transfer its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine as it receives FA-50s from South Korea and F-35s from the United States. This was announced on Friday, April 14, by Polish President Andrzej Duda in a briefing with his Austrian counterpart Alexander van der Bellen in Vienna, PAP reports.
“We will probably gradually send the MiG-29 aircraft that we have left in stock,” he said.
The first deliveries of South Korean FA-50 aircraft to Poland are scheduled for 2023.
Duda noted that Poland ranks third after the United States and Great Britain in terms of military aid to Ukraine. According to him, Warsaw handed over to Kyiv more than 300 PT-91 and T-72 tanks, as well as Leopard 2, Krab self-propelled guns, Piorun MANPADS.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Poland has transferred eight MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine and is preparing to transfer six fighters of this type.
