Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar said that the Russians have again focused on the topic of Bakhmut and launched a narrative about the allegedly insane losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy is trying to undermine the Ukrainians’ confidence in the command.
“This is not the first time that the Russians have removed our texts about them and passed them off as their own. The purpose of such filling by Russia is to undermine confidence in the decisions of our military command and to provoke indifference -satisfaction with Ukrainian society,” he said.
According to Malyar, the losses of the Russians in Bakhmut were many times higher. Sometimes the difference reaches 10 times.
According to the Deputy Minister of Defense, the Russian command does not allow its military, which is focused on efforts to control Bakhmut at any cost.
“In return, we defend ourselves and prevent the enemy from advancing deep into the territory. Unfortunately, this is a war, and defense is impossible without defeat. Saving the lives of our soldiers is the priority of the military command, that the military has repeatedly explained the decisions made in public communications,” said Malyar.
Recall that during two weeks of continuous fighting near the town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, almost 4,500 people were killed and wounded by Russian forces.
