Detectives have obtained new documents and information, their study may take a long time, according to NABU.
Yesterday, April 13, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine filed a new petition with the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court to extend the pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings on suspicion of the former chairman of the board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev. This was reported by the press service of NABU.
It was reported that the new petition, in particular, was caused by new circumstances established by the pre-trial investigation.
“After applying to the judge investigator with a preliminary petition (04/04/2023), the detectives took new documents and information important for proving the criminal proceedings, namely the electronic correspondence of person involved in the initiation, approval and implementation of the decision on the payment of bonuses to the chairman, board members and employees of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine in connection with the victory in the Stockholm arbitration. The total value of the seized information in electronic form is more than 37 gigabytes of electronic correspondence,” the press service said.
Detectives analyze the seized information, and this process can take a long time.
“The inspection has already revealed some information that is important to prove in the criminal proceedings. Below are samples of the seized materials that NABU and SAPO decided to publish considering the public outcry and a number of statements from the defense,” NABU reported.
Earlier it was reported that Kobolev was assigned a bail of 229 million hryvnias, but he did not pay the bail on time.
