Ukraine has already received part of the grant funds from the World Bank’s donor trust fund in the amount of 504 million euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting on May 20, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers informs.
“This is, in particular, funds from the United States and Great Britain. In addition, today the European Commission paid Ukraine the second tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of 600 million euros,” specified the head of government. . .
According to Shmygal, Kyiv expects to receive another 9 billion euros from the European Union and 9 billion dollars from the United States in the coming months. The funds will help Ukraine cope with Russia’s aggression and recover quickly.
The prime minister also announced a series of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund and World Bank to launch new programs and projects to support Ukraine.
Recall that following the results of the G7 ministerial meeting in the German city of Koenigswinter on the eve of the G7 countries, they decided to allocate $ 19.8 billion to Ukraine.
