Former US President Donald Trump will again appear in court this Thursday for questioning in the case of fraud in his company. Trump Organizationa week after he was charged in another criminal case.

In this civil case, the Attorney General of the State of New York, Letitia Jamesfile a case against Donald Trump and his three children, from whom he is seeking $250 million for alleged tax and financial fraud in valuing the group’s assets.

“I’m going downtown (New York) to meet a racist who told me I’d be there at 9:30,” Trump wrote of the elected African-American Democrat prosecutor.

Consulted last week by AFP, the attorney general’s offices did not confirm the hearing, which may have taken place at their offices.

Trump called the case “ridiculous”

The prosecutor had already interrogated Trump under oath last August. The start of the trial is scheduled for October 2, 2023.

Former president seeking to return to White House in the 2024 election, he called the case “ludicrous”, “just like the rest of the election interference that I’m the target of.”

James accuses the 76-year-old Republican tycoon and his three children of “deliberately” manipulating the group’s assets, including golf clubs, luxury hotels and other real estate, to secure better bank loans or lower taxes.

This case is different from a criminal trial in which he was charged with 34 offenses last week for alleged accounting and tax fraud to cover up a payment to a pornographic actress to buy her silence in the last stretch of the 2016 election for an alleged relationship ten years before the mogul always denied. .
