Power outages caused by Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities threaten the smooth operation of the gas transmission system.
The Ukrainian Gas Transmission System Operator (OGTSU) received six powerful generators from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This was announced by the company’s press service on Thursday, April 13.
It was indicated that four AKSA generators with a capacity of 148 kW and two Kubota generator sets with a capacity of 25 kW were transferred as part of the international technical assistance.
As noted in the OGTSU, power outages caused by enemy air attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities jeopardize the smooth operation of the gas transmission system and ensure the proper level of supply of service to consumers and customers.
“Therefore, the help of international partners is very important for the security of gas supply,” the statement said.
Earlier, as part of assistance to restore Ukraine’s energy system, Lithuania provided a powerful autotransformer that can power up to 200,000 households.
