The explosion was heard near the machine room of the 4th power unit of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
This was announced today, April 13, by the press service of Energoatom, citing informed sources.
The Russian occupiers continue to turn the Zaporozhye NPP into a military base, bypassing the perimeter around the station. And these actions cannot but have consequences,” Energoatom notes.
As the nuclear terrorists themselves said, their mine detonated, the company adds.
It is noted that the sounds of the explosion were heard by Ukrainian nuclear scientists who continue to work at the ZNPP. However, the Russians tried to “calm down” the workers and quickly cover their tracks so that the IAEA experts would not see this.
The largest nuclear facility in Europe continues to suffer from the arbitrariness of the Russian military and their henchmen, while Ukrainian personnel are desperately trying to maintain the nuclear and radiation safety of the entire continent, Energoatom notes.
