Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal signed an agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the American International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). This agreement aims to attract the private sector and increase investment in Ukraine. The US Embassy in Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page on Thursday, April 13.
“USAID Administrator Samantha Power met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal to discuss Ukraine’s economic recovery and the United States’ and Ukraine’s joint commitment to transparency and accountability,” the ministry said.
The embassy noted that the parties signed a new agreement between USAID, the American Corporation for International Development Finance and Ukraine. The purpose of the agreement is to help attract the private sector and increase foreign direct investment.
Recall that Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal arrived on a working visit to the United States, where he will hold several meetings.
