In addition, citizens of Ukraine whose children study in Romania can count on subsidies.
Under the new rules, authorities will no longer pay housing costs to landlords housing refugees, and subsidies will be received directly by tenants. Refugee camps will receive subsidies from the state, as before.
It is noted that such measures are being taken against the backdrop of a significant labor shortage in Romania.
Since February 2022, more than 3.8 million Ukrainians have arrived in the country, but the majority went from there to other European countries. Currently, about 110,000 Ukrainian refugees remain in Romania, 10% of whom have jobs in the country.
Recall that earlier Romania decided to allocate more than 800 thousand dollars to improve the defense potential of Ukraine.
