It will be difficult to find a place for a beach holiday in Crimea this summer, because the Russians are turning the peninsula into a fortified area.
The Russian occupation authorities have decided to “cancel” this year’s beach season and widely close beaches on the peninsula. This was announced on Wednesday, April 12, by the group Information Resistance.
“Swimming will be banned in the villages of Shtormovoe and Popovka in the west of the Saki region of Crimea on the coast of the Black Sea and Lake Donuzlav,” the report said.
In addition, swimming is not allowed in other lakes.
In particular, the “administration” of the work of the Shtormovsky village council adopted the decision to close the beaches.
It is noted that this year the Russians turned the beaches into defense lines. In the past, tens of kilometers of trenches were dug in them and artillery was placed in the Crimea. The enemy is taking steps ahead of the expected counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, Aksyonov spoke about the Russian army’s “modern layered defense” in Crimea, and that the occupied peninsula is ready for Ukraine’s counter-offensive.
Recall that the governors of the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, which border Ukraine, decided to cancel military parades on May 9 in order not to “provoke the enemy” with the accumulation of military and equipment.
