On Wednesday, April 12, the World Bank announced the allocation of a cash grant to Ukraine.

Ukraine will receive $200 million, all this money will be used to restore the country’s energy infrastructure. The funds, in particular, will be used to restore the power grid and heat supply systems. The corresponding agreement was signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmihal with the Vice President of the World Bank Anna Bjerde. Shmihal announced this on Telegram.
Infrastructure facilities will be restored in Kyiv, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Sumy and cities of the Chernihiv region. Also at the meeting with representatives of the World Bank, they discussed joint work within the framework of the interagency donor coordination platform.
Recall that on March 21, the European Union paid Ukraine the second tranche of macro-financial assistance from a total package of 18 billion euros. Kyiv received 1.5 billion euros in benefits, and Ukraine received the first tranche of 3 billion euros in January.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the funds are provided on unprecedented favorable terms for Ukraine and will be used to finance the most urgent state budget expenditures.
