The presidential bill appeared in Parliament on Wednesday, April 12. The draft law was submitted for consideration to the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, but the text of the document is currently missing. This was reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
As you know, the Belarusian regime at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine supports the policy of the Kremlin. Thus, the dictator Alexander Lukashenko provides the territory of Belarus for attacks on Ukraine. In addition, Russian troops are constantly trained in Belarus.
This led to the fact that relations between Ukraine and Belarus deteriorated. In particular, in October last year, the Ukrainian government terminated the agreement with Belarus on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion. And in July 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers denounced the agreement with Belarus on navigation on inland waters, which was signed in 1998.
Recall that in February, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in a BBC commentary that he was ready to allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to use his country as a springboard for a new Russian offensive against Ukraine.
