IDPs from the Donetsk region were received in an organized manner by several regions of Ukraine, and now they were evacuated to the Zhytomyr region.
Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, more than 1.1 million people have been evacuated from the Donetsk region. This was announced by the head of Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko.
According to him, since February 24, 2022, there has not been a single day in the region without a dead or injured person.
Kirilenko said that the settlers from the Donetsk region were received in an organized way by some regions of Ukraine, and now there is an evacuation in the Zhytomyr region.
“I understand that summer is approaching, and with it the desire to return home will grow. But this cannot be done! Homesickness is not equal to the dangers it brings. Fewer civilians remain in the region, the military will do its job easier and more calmly,” said the OVA chief.
Over the past day, as a result of the shelling of settlements in the Donetsk region, one person died and eight others were injured.
Recall that on April 10, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
