The sanctions list includes more than 120 legal entities and individuals in more than 20 countries. In particular, restrictions were imposed against the Chinese company China HEAD Aerospace Technology Co, which sold satellite images of places in Ukraine by the occupiers. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin was also under sanctions. This was reported by Reuters on April 12, citing the US Treasury Department and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
It is noted that the restrictions will affect individuals and legal entities around the world, in particular, in Turkey and the UAE, evading anti-Russian sanctions. The Patriot PPK, which Washington considers connected with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, was also on the sanctions list.
The company King-Pai Technology HK from China, which in the United States is considered a supplier of several enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, was also sent under sanctions.
Also, restrictions were imposed against five organizations and individuals involved in the Russian state nuclear energy company Rosatom.
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov’s USM Holdings and MegaFon, a mobile operator, are also already under sanctions.
Recall that on April 8, US President Joe Biden signed a decree extending sanctions against Russia for another year, imposed in April 2021 due to the harmful external activities of the Russian government and expanded in March 2022 after a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
