Stephen Colbert mocked conservatives Tuesday as they went into meltdown after Bud Light released a collaboration with transgender actor Dylan Mulvaney.
Many right-wing critics have posted videos of themselves downing Bud Light as part of a boycott.
Colbert shared a clip of “conservative thought leader” Kid Rock drinking a beer, while Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) shared a video of him searching the fridge for a Bud Light to throw away.
There was a lot of beer, but nothing was Bud Light.
“That was easy,” he said smugly.
But as Colbert noted, online pundits were quick to point out that some of the beer in her fridge was made by Anheuser-Busch, which also makes Bud Light.
“Thunder again from corporate hegemony!” Colbert said, then imitated a conservative trying to find a brand that hadn’t been canceled by the right, with no luck:
