On Wednesday, April 12, Estonia’s highest representative and legislative body voted in favor of giving the mandate to form a government to prime ministerial candidate Kaia Kallas. It was reported by ERR.
This was mentioned earlier in the State Duma of Estonia Reform Party, Estonia 200 And Social Democratic Party sign a coalition agreement. After this, President Alar Karis nominated Kallas for the position of prime minister.
Kallas is expected to go to the President of Estonia with a list of future ministers of the new government. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 17, after which the ministers will be sworn in.
The President shall appoint a new government within three days after the Prime Minister-designate, who was commissioned by the National Assembly to form a government, presents to him the composition of the government.
