This was announced today, on April 11, in his Telegram channel by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets.
Members of ENNHRI with A status took part in the voting. I note that this is the first time in the history of the existence of the association when one of the members is excluded, – said Lubinets.
According to Lubinets, the voting was based on the fact that Moskalkova carried out her activities in a way and contrary to the goals defined by the ENNHRI Charter.
During her speech, the Ombudsman of the Russian Federation announced her withdrawal from the European Network of National Institutions for Human Rights, probably anticipating a negative voting result for their institution. She also used Russian propaganda narratives about US biological laboratories in Ukraine and recalled the violation of human rights in France during the protests, which was very strange to hear from a representative of the aggressor country,” Lubinets noted.
He recalled that Russia does not pay attention to human rights violations on its part: it kills, fires missiles at cities, tortures, destroys houses, kidnaps Ukrainian children, holds civilians captive and does not comply with the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Russia commits genocide of our people and violates all norms of international humanitarian law and must be excluded from all international organizations. The world sees the truth and draws conclusions,” Lubinets emphasized.
