Attacks on Ukrainian interests continue, whether financial, governmental, personal, private business.
Russian hackers connect to public webcams installed in Ukrainian coffee shops. Thus, the enemy collects information about passing columns with humanitarian assistance. This was announced on Tuesday, April 11, by Rob Joyce, director of cybersecurity at the US National Security Agency, writes The Guardian.
He noted that the Russian government and the hackers it supports continue to attack information technology systems in Ukraine.
“Attacks continue on Ukrainian interests, whether financial, governmental, personal, private business, just to try to cause damage,” he said at the Center for International and Strategic Studies in Washington.
Joyce pointed out that cafe cameras often have a good view of roads and can see which cars are driving on them.
The official also said the Russians are focusing their hacking efforts on US defense manufacturers and logistics transport companies to learn more about the arms supply chain in Ukraine.
Earlier, there was a cyber attack on the state resources of Ukraine, including unified and state registries, websites of the Ministry of Justice.
Cybercriminals attacked Ukrainian organizations and institutions using the Remote Utilities program. Hackers sent emails ostensibly on behalf of the National Security and Defense Council to gain remote access to computers.
