Canada has imposed sanctions against a number of Russian companies and Russians

The list of sanctions was supplemented by legal entities and individuals associated with Wagner PMC and the aviation sector.

Canada has imposed sanctions against 14 people and 34 companies from the Russian Federation associated with Wagner PMC and the aviation sector. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Canada on Tuesday, April 11.

The list of penalties includes:

• Oleksandr Ivanov – committed war crimes against Ukrainians in Bucha – a soldier of the 64th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 35th OA VVO;

• Valery Zakharov – scientist in the field of complex development of mineral resources;

• Nikolai Pankov – Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation – State Secretary for Personnel and Staffing. It provides support to the RF Armed Forces involved in the invasion of Ukraine and supervises them;

• Andrei Komogortsev – General Director of the Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant – an enterprise of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, which develops and produces missile weapons for the needs of the RF Armed Forces;

• Victor Myachin – co-founder of the Ozero cooperative, participates in the creation of the financial base of the Putin regime;

• Sergey Rudnov is the founder and head of several media companies, including Baltic Media Group and ZAO Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing House. Supports actions and policies that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, as well as its stability and security;

• Ilham Mammadkhasan oglu Rakhimov – Russian and Azerbaijani legal scholar, classmate and close friend of Putin;

• Nikolai Egorov – Deputy Head of Antipinsky Oil Refinery;

• Alexey Isaikin – Russian businessman, founder and head of Volga-Dnepr airline;

• Vadim Dobrov – General Director of the joint-stock company Scientific and Production Enterprise Istok named after AI Shokin;

• Vladimir Ivanov – CEO of AL Energia;

• Leonid Ponomarev – General Director of JSC Ural Design Bureau Detal;

• Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov – head of the Republic of Tatarstan;

• Gulsina Akhatovna Minnikhanova – wife of the leader of Tatarstan, businessman.

• In addition, Concord Management and Consulting and the Volga-Dnepr group of companies, controlled by the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin, were included in the sanctions list.

Note that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called on the Russian Federation to stop recruiting the country’s residents to participate in hostilities on the side of the PMCs Wagner in Ukraine.

He later said that all Serbian “Wagnerites” would be arrested on their way home.
