Border guards exposed another method of illegal transportation of draft dodgers across the state border of Ukraine. This was announced on April 11 by the press center of the State Border Service.
Residents of Rivne and Volyn regions established a channel for the illegal transportation of men of military age across the border under the guise of drivers engaged in international transportation.
The organizers of the criminal scheme entered data about their pseudo-workers into the Shlyakh automatic permit system, from which they took from 1,500 to 5,000 dollars. Thus, the attackers entered the electronic data system of more than 450 men of military age, of which more than 170 did not return to Ukraine.
According to preliminary estimates, the amount of illegal profits of dealers can be up to one million dollars.
As a result of the searches, phones, office equipment, flash drives, seals and documentation of legal entities, international passports, bank cards, draft notes, almost one million hryvnias in various currencies were confiscated from defendants.
Two people involved were found out on suspicion of illegal migration of people across the state border of Ukraine.
For one of the suspects, the court chose a measure of detention in the form of house arrest. He sent another accomplice into custody with the possibility of making bail in the amount of 671,000 hryvnias.
Earlier, in the Transcarpathian region, law enforcement officials exposed a scheme for transporting evaders in an ambulance abroad. The procedure was arranged by the paramedic and his accomplice.
