TCG Anadolu, in addition to transporting drones, can also transport up to 45 tanks.

Turkey on Monday, April 10, commissioned its largest warship TCG Anadolu. Today it is one of the few countries in the world that has a domestic-made aircraft carrier in service. This was reported by Daily Sabah on Monday, April 10.

In particular, it is the first ship in the world that is the carrier of drones.

“TCG Anadolu … is the first warship in the world that can land and take off UAVs,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech.

According to him, many manned and unmanned aerial vehicles will be placed on the ship. The ship will house the main Bayraktar TB3 drone.

In addition to drones, TCG Anadolu will deploy helicopters, including the Turkish T129 Atak, US AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopter and SH-70B utility helicopter.

TCG Anadolu can also transport up to 45 tanks, depending on how they are deployed and the ship’s mission.

The ship is 231 meters long and 32 meters wide. It can travel at about 21 knots, has a range of 9,000 nautical miles, and can operate at sea for 50 days.

As we have already reported, in December 2022, Turkey conducted the first aerial test of the Bayraktar Kızılelma unmanned fighter.

At that time, it was also known that Turkey continues to develop unmanned military boats that can also operate in swarm mode.
