City residents at a meeting on April 10 voted for the transfer of St. George Church of UOC-MP at OCU.
In Khmelnitsky, the community voted for the transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine of St. George’s Church of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate. Vitaliy Pidgaychuk, a deputy of the Khmelnytsky City Council, announced this on Facebook.
“Thanks to the operational meeting of the city’s residents in the former UOC church of the Moscow Patriarchate, for the first time in many years, a prayer for Ukraine and the Ukrainian army was heard in the Ukrainian language,” he wrote.
According to the deputy, the decision to move the temple to OCU was made at a meeting on April 10 of local residents.

Last week in Khmelnitsky, the Holy Intercession Cathedral, the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary crossed the OCU.
Recall that since the beginning of the year, 63 Ukrainian religious organizations have moved to OCU from UOC-MP. In total, 277 religious communities have joined the OCU since the start of the full-scale war.
