For the first time since February 2022, you can drive from the regional center to the capital along a convenient road in two hours. This became possible as a result of the implementation of a multi-stage restoration of the bridge by the Restoration Agency.
Movement in both directions of the finished half of the bridge is allowed for all types of transport, including trucks. On the second passage, work continues, it will be opened later.
The half-kilometer bridge across the Desna was destroyed at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. Until now, drivers have had to spend twice as much time detours along the R-69 road Kyiv – Vyshgorod – Desna – Chernihiv due to the destroyed crossings around Chernigov.
