The Ministry of Agrarian Policy predicts a drop in prices for eggs by 20-40%

After April 16, egg prices in Ukraine will drop by 20-40%. This is what Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, said on the air of the telethon.

“Literally after Easter, the downward trend begins, which lasts until mid-summer, and there are no such expensive eggs for our consumers,” he said.

According to Vysotsky, the fall in prices will be affected by the stabilization of the Ukrainian energy system and the fact that egg producers continue to increase the number of chickens to increase production volumes.

“We see now that it is from 20-40%, depending on what the future situation will be in the feed market. So far it looks positive,” said the deputy minister.

Remember that a draft order has been published in Ukraine On the approval of the requirements for chicken eggs. According to the requirements, the eggs will be divided into two groups. In addition, requirements regarding their weight will be approved.

Earlier it was reported that prices for products have changed in Ukraine. In February, the prices of vegetables rose significantly, but the prices of grains, eggs and oil fell.
