The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has developed a new kamikaze drone that can disable targets at a distance of up to 450 kilometers. This was announced on Sunday, April 9, by the official representative of the IRGC, reports Tasnim News.
The chairman of the Jihad Research and Self-Sufficiency Organization of the IRGC Ground Forces, General Ali Kuhestani, said that the new unmanned aerial vehicle, called Me’raj-532, has successfully passed all tests.
According to him, this kamikaze drone is equipped with a piston engine and can cover a distance of up to 450 kilometers in one direction. The drone can fly from a vehicle and can also stay in the air for up to three hours.
Also, according to the Iranian general, the drone can hit targets with a warhead weighing 50 kilograms with high accuracy. According to him, the Me’raj-532 is easy and quick to assemble and is ready for flight.
