The time of the service will be announced additionally, since the curfew will not be canceled on the Easter holidays in Kyiv. Probably, the service will be held in the morning after curfew. On April 7, the Metropolitan stated this in a commentary to the Public.
Epiphany also noted that he is not in favor of evicting the monks of the UOC-MP from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, who do not want to leave there, despite the terminated contracts on March 29. The Orthodox Church of Ukraine only wants the spirit of the so-called Russian world not to reign on the territory of the Lavra.
So that the Lavra is in Ukrainian, so that it always carries a prayer in Ukrainian for our Ukraine,” he added.
The Metropolitan is sure that the Ukrainization of the Lavra is an inevitable process. According to Epifania, the Divine Service of the WTO is already being constantly performed in the Upper Lavra, and over time they will “peacefully and calmly” pray in the Lower Lavra as well.
Recall that at the end of March, Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius appointed the new acting. O. Archimandrite Avraamy, Viceroy of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, who transferred to the OCU from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
