The Ukrainian military destroyed two 2S9 Nona self-propelled guns near Bakhmut, which belonged to the Russian invaders. A video of the destruction of enemy equipment was published on social networks.
Russian weapons were destroyed in the village of Kleshchievka, Donetsk region. Two “Nonas” hit the Ukrainian forces holding the defense in this direction of the front of the Russian-Ukrainian war with artillery fire. Soldiers of the 128th Territorial Defense Battalion worked against the enemy together with the Adam tactical group.
In the first case, the Russians placed a 2S9 self-propelled gun near the road, not far from the destroyed houses.
A Ukrainian drone discovered it and brought in artillery, which destroyed the self-propelled gun with a precise strike. After the hit, a powerful explosion occurred, as a result of which the Russian “Nona” remained on fire.
In the second case, as noted also in the village of Kleshchievka, the occupiers placed their 2S9 “Nona” installation near the building and disguised it with tree branches.
However, this did not prevent Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance from discovering an artillery mount used in the Russian armed forces by airborne troops. After the discovery of enemy weapons, Ukrainian artillery began to strike at its location.
One of the shells exploded close to the Russian Nona, which led to the start of a fire and further to the complete destruction of a self-propelled artillery mount that can fire 120-mm mines.

Self-propelled artillery mount 2S9 “Nona” is designed for direct fire support of airborne troops on the battlefield. The main weapon of the installation is a mortar gun of 120 mm caliber. It is capable of conducting aimed fire without prior preparation from closed positions and direct fire.
The capabilities of this artillery system make it possible to use it not only to defeat manpower, destroy defensive structures, but also to fire at armored vehicles.
