Deputy Minister Anna Malyar emphasized that when the words “the situation is under control” were published in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was so.
The battle in Bakhmut was accompanied by serious analytical work by a large number of people, and decisions were made based on a comprehensive analysis and calculations of the likely development of the situation. This is what Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said in Telegram on Thursday, April 6.
“I will open the curtain a little – what is behind the words “the battle continues in Bakhmut” and how operational decisions were made. Of course, only what the military allows,” he said.
According to Malyar, the operational situation in the area is monitored and reported to the headquarters 24/7. The headquarters itself constantly evaluates the actions of the enemy and the dynamics of the changing situation according to many criteria. Based on the data received, the headquarters predicts possible threats and actions of the enemy.
The Deputy Minister added that the operational information and analytics produced are continuously reported to the command of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces Khortytsyawhere the area of responsibility is now located the direction of Bakhmut.
“The command, based on analyzing the changing situation, forecasting the enemy’s actions and assessing our capabilities, makes operational decisions and formulates tasks for the units. That is, when you hear the word “the situation is under control” in the reports, it is,” said Malyar.
Recall that on April 3, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, met with the defenders of Bakhmut and refuted the allegations of Russian propagandists about the capture of the city.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said the situation in Bakhmut is the most difficult on the front. The enemy does not control the city, however, if there is a threat of heavy losses, a decision can be made to withdraw the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
