This was stated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Andrei Sibiga in a commentary to the Financial Times.
According to him, the diplomatic stage is possible when Ukraine reaches its goals on the battlefield and enters the administrative border with Crimea. At the same time, the military way of dismissal does not exclude this.
If we manage to achieve our strategic goals on the battlefield and when we are on the administrative border with Crimea, we are ready to open a diplomatic page to discuss this issue, Sibiga said.
At the same time, Sibiga clarified that this does not mean that Ukraine excludes the possibility of the liberation of Crimea from Russian occupiers by military means.
The FT noted that the comment of the representative of the OP was “the most open statement about Ukraine’s interest in the negotiations” from Russia since April 2022, when the dialogue with the aggressor was terminated.
