North Korea is ready to conduct a nuclear test “at any time”. This was announced on April 6 by South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong Sop, according to Yonhap.
North Korea has completed preparations for what would be its seventh nuclear test and is capable of conducting a nuclear test at any time.
In a report to the Defense Committee of the South Korean Parliament, Lee Jong Sub indicated that North Korea’s nuclear test could be used as a “final technological test” necessary for the mass production and operational deployment of nuclear warheads.
He also noted that Seoul and Washington have developed joint military measures in response to a possible North Korean nuclear test. These steps include a joint show of force by allies involving US strategic assets.
