In the Chernivtsi region, the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate did not let the coffin with the deceased soldier into the temple.
The incident took place in the village of Zadubrovka. The priests of the UOC-MP blocked the local church and did not allow the coffin with the deceased hero to be brought into the temple. The mother of the deceased soldier, with tears in her eyes, asked to let the coffin in for her son’s funeral. This was reported on April 5 by the local publication “Young Bukovinian”.
The parishioners of the Church of the Archangel Michael transferred to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine four years ago. The society has all the necessary documents, but the Moscow Patriarchate still does not allow them to hold services.
Later it became known that after a long dispute, representatives of the UOC-MP unblocked the church and people managed to go there. The deceased hero was sung by the priests of the HCU.
Recall that on April 2, in the Holy Intercession Cathedral of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, local clergy and believers beat a military man. After the scandal, a meeting was held, the participants of which voted by a majority vote for the transfer of the temple to the HCU. Until Easter, according to the Eastern rite, services in this church will not be held.
