The parishioners of the St. George Cathedral of the UOC-MP in Lviv decided to transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
On Wednesday, April 5, the appropriate voting began in the temple. The parishioners make a decision to move to the HCU church located on Taras Bobanich Street. The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maxim Kozitsky announced this on Telegram.
And Deputy Chairman of the Lviv Regional Council Yuri Kholod wrote on Facebook that from now on the temple will be named after St. Yuri the Victorious.
However, according to Kholod, unknown young people are trying to arrange provocations in the cathedral. These persons claim that they are allegedly from Filaret and came from the Rivne region.
Earlier, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, wrote on Telegram that there were some problems with the transfer of property to the WTO. You can solve them either through the process of nationalization, or go to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
Recall that on April 2, in Khmelnitsky, near the Holy Intercession Cathedral of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, a meeting was held, the participants of which by a majority vote voted for the transfer of the temple to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Until Easter, according to the Eastern rite, services in this church will not be held.
